My path into this work wasn’t linear—I completed my undergrad years ago, spent time in various jobs, and moved through my own mental health journey. That journey is ongoing—a lifelong process complete of learning, missteps, and growth that continues to shape me both personally and professionally.
I started this work during the pandemic in a shelter supporting individuals fleeing gender-based violence. From there, I moved into agency-based counselling, offering both one-on-one and group therapy for people impacted by intimate partner violence. I am currently finishing my MA in Counselling Psychology. The education I have received helped shape the skills I gained during my journey and provided me with new opportunities. I’ve supported clients navigating anxiety, addiction, depression, and borderline personality disorder. I’ve worked with people across generations, cultures, and identities, each bringing their own stories of pain, survival, and growth. All of this shapes how I show up in the therapy room: grounded, honest, and deeply human.
